The Flos Aliena LED display was set up to film drone footage (courtesy of Paul Spaur) for the 2020 Pandemic versions of the Autumn Lights Festival at the Gardens at Lake Merritt.

 

It was done as a pop-up display, set-up and taken down on a single evening. It provided good social-distancing art as it occupied well over an acre of space on which to roam, and as an unannounced event attracted at most a dozen people at a time, drawn in by the view from Coyote Road while driving by.
